How does Picture It Schools work?

Picture It Schools - Playground Art

It's really quite simple!

Contact us for more information about how we can brighten your outdoor space!

To give you a better idea of the process of ordering through Picture It Schools we have asked Althea Whybrow who was our contact at Barrington C of E School (VC) in Cambridgeshire to take you through the various stages from initial contact to displaying the final art. Their artwork can be seen below our step by step guide:

STEP 1 - THE ENQUIRY STAGE

Q. Was your initial enquiry dealt with promptly, efficiently and pleasantly?
A. We were delighted and the instant response to our enquires and all our queries and questions were handled extremely promptly, pleasantly and comprehensively.

Q. Would you have preferred a personal visit or do you think that we were able to supply all the information and guidance you needed by phone and e-mail?
A: A personal visit would have been a luxury, but I dont think (in our case) much more could have been achieved since all the information we needed was supplied via telephone or email

STEP 2 - PREPARATION STAGE

Q. Could we have done any more to make the whole process of painting and preparing your art to send to us any easier for you?
A. Our ideas unfolded as we began to plan what we might acheive with the children's work. The time given to each group was only one hour and the work displayed on coloured sheets of sugar paper for the children and each subsequent group to see. Each child had a piece of A5 size paper on which to design an image of their chosen Season. We removed these from the coloured paper at the end of the day. They were all subsequently identified individually on the reverse and packed up for despatch in the separate Seasons. Our children used a variety of media: paint, felt-tip, fabric, air-dry clay, metaliic foils, CD's, ribbon glitter, etc. All the diffent media were faithfully represented in the final metal artwork panels: brilliant!

STEP 3 - DESIGN STAGE

Q. Once you had sent us all the pictures to create your panels how would you describe our service from preparing and amending proofs to reaching agreed designs for printing?
A. We received draft proofs of the artwork very quickly. The images had been arranged on suitable background colours. We gave carte blanche for appropriate colours to be used, with suggestions of our own but freedom for Sue to finally decide. This proved to be most satisfactory and we were thrilled with her sensitivity of colour and form chosen. We suggested alterations of position for one or two items of the artwork and this was immediately adhered to, to our absolute satisfaction.

STEP 4 - DELIVERY STAGE

Q. Did we meet your deadlines? Was the delivery process straightforward? Was the art wrapped safely to prevent damage in transit? Is the art easy to fix as we promised?
A. We were told to expect delivery within 28 days, which seemed reasonable. Delivery actually was well within the timescale. The panels were beautifully protected for transit and there was no damage at all. We requested acrylic keyhole fixings and these were strategically placed in each corner on the rear of each panel.

STEP 5 - CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

Q. Did we disappoint, meet or exceed your expectations throughout the whole process?
A. Our whole experience of working with Picture It PhotoArt has been a most pleasant and enjoyable experience from start to finish!

Q. Would you recommend Picture It Schools wholeheartedly to others?
A. I would have no hesitation in recommending this Company, not only to Schools, but also to any company or individual who was looking for 'something special' in the way of artwork; at home (indoors or outdoors); at work and in schools.

Q. Is there anything you think we could improve on?
A. It's hard to imagine what else might have been done by Picture It Photo Art to improve the service offered!

Q. Have we provided value for money?
A. The funding for this project was raised by the individual initiative of Alison Hopwood who is a Parent Governor of Barrington CofE School (VC). We consider it an excellent use of monies raised, and something which will last for many years to come.
